Overview
- This policy explains what data ArguCheck collects and why. We collect only what is technically necessary to operate the platform.

What We Collect
- Email address — for authentication only. Never displayed publicly.
- • Nickname — your chosen public display name.
- • Password — stored as a bcrypt hash. We never see your plaintext password.
- • Claims, ratings, and relations — the content you create.
- • AI API keys (optional) — encrypted (AES-256-GCM), used only to call your chosen AI provider.
- • Server logs — no IP addresses stored. User IDs are hashed (SHA-256).
- • One session cookie — technically necessary for authentication. No tracking cookies.
- • Anonymous page-view counters — no cookies, no IP addresses, no personal data. Auto-deleted after 90 days.
Purpose
- Authentication and password reset.
- • Providing the debate platform functionality.
- • Error debugging and abuse prevention.
Data Sharing
- We do not sell or share personal data. Processing is done by:
- • AWS (EU region eu-central-1) — hosting and data storage.
- • Your chosen AI provider (only if you configure AI) — your key is sent directly to them.
Retention
- Account data: until you delete your account.
- • Public content: indefinitely (part of the public record).
- • Logs and notifications: auto-deleted after 90 days.

- Access, correction, deletion, portability, and objection.
- • Delete your account anytime via Profile → Delete Account.

Cookies

Children
- Not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
