The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health has reported that some medical professionals make false claims about cancer cures in order to sell unproven and ineffective treatments to patients. A study published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology found that medical professionals who make false claims about cancer cures often have a financial interest in the therapies they promote.
